Welcome to WEA East Midlands
The WEA is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult learning – which means we provide a huge range of courses specifically designed for adults. With over 900 courses to choose from right here in the East Midlands you’re sure to find the course that’s right for you. From literature or creative writing to archeology, geology or local history – and that’s just a fraction of what’s in store!
Our courses are held throughout the East Midlands in villages and suburbs as well as in towns and cities – so it’s more than likely you’ll find one of our 60 East Midlands branches on your doorstep.

Which course will you choose?
We’re always adding to our list of courses and best of all, they’ve been developed by WEA learners themselves, people like you, who have a particular interest or hobby or are curious to find out more about a new subject.
All our learners have the chance to say what courses they’d like to see in the future so the possibilities just keep on growing and growing!
Some of our courses offer nationally recognised credits whilst others are simply for people who want to learn more about something or just love learning. Whether or not you’d like to gain a qualification is entirely up to you.
You don’t need any previous qualifications or experience to learn with the WEA either – our courses are open to everyone from all walks of life.
